The yellow rose on the cutflower market, Flamenco sets breathtaking blooms on long, elegant stems. The 5-inch wide, fully double blooms are so perfect for cutting thanks to their scintillating color, great fragrance, and their prolonged vase life. Each of their 25 to 30 peals are a golden yellow that fades to a hot pink picotee, made all the more dramatic by their ruffle, swirled arrangement.

The bloom show is continuous (perpetual), with flowers arising constantly all summer long. Growing about 6 feet high and 4 feet wide, this hybrid tea is sure to impress with its abundant bloom production and radiant color. Like other hybrid teas, it boasts excellent vigor and picture-perfect form. It displays good disease resistance to all major rose ailments, making it great in a variety of climates.

This Jackson and Perkins introduction is a seedling of Santa Fe and Texas®, which is where it gets its fantastic form and its incredibly bright colors. The combination of golden yellow and pink edging is absolutely blazing hot. Each of the 25 to 30 petals fades from yellow to a hot, pure pink. As they open they release a mild, but pleasant fragrance that adds another layer of interest.

Plant Flamenco in moist but well-drained soil and be sure that it gets full sun. Prune the canes in early spring to remove spend wood and crossing canes. Luckily, the flamboyant bicolor rose requires very little maintenance.
