As tough as it is beautiful, Delosperma Jewel of Desert Garnet is a uniquely robust ice plant. It can weather almost any climate such as heat, drought, and even partial shade. Its olive-green succulent foliage spreads densely over the ground—8 to 10 inches wide—but never grows more than a few inches high. Watch this bloom burst open and showcase its almost neon-like colors at the first sign of spring. The daisy-like flowers are 2 inches wide and multi-hued: neon magenta petals with fuchsia tips, and canary yellow centers surrounded by rings of crisp white.
Delosperma Jewel of Desert Garnet is happy in a rock garden, as a ground cover, or in a hanging basket. It does not require any special care to thrive.
