The Royal Heritage Strain Hellebore is a hybrid strain of Helleborus, undergoing a 50-year process of cultivation to blossom into a wide range of rich colors, including maroon, red, white, near black and pink. This perennial also has blooms in yellow and pale green. Each plant has 2-inch blossoms with overlapping petals and displays its own unique color. Helleborus Royal Heritage Strain’s blooming season starts in early winter and ends in early spring; it is bred to have a long flowering season, blooming for five months out of a year. Its foliage is a rich, medium green with leathery, serrated leaves.

The Helleborus Royal Heritage Strain rose grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches and a width of 2 to 3 feet. It grows well in partial to full shade and in moist, well-drained soil. It also fares well in clay. It is exceptional because it is extremely low maintenance and very permanent. Helleborus Royal Heritage Strain is highly deer, disease and pest resistant and heat, humidity and drought tolerant.
