Discovered in 1976, ‘Christmas Time’ is a celebration of showy, 7-inch, bright red blooms, with yellow throats and veins, set against semievergreen foliage. Although each bloom lasts a short time, the plant flowers for an extended period, especially compared to most daylilies.
Plant in beds, borders, or mass plantings, anywhere you want to attract butterflies. It prefers deep, fertile, loam soil but will grow in all soils. It can be used to control erosion and is tolerant of air pollution.
