Its bold red bloom clusters are the first of its kind for smooth hydrangea and they certainly make a statement, especially paired against its handsome verdant foliage. While we’d be happy with just red flowers Ruby doesn’t stop there. Its flowers are initially a dark maroon which then turns to a bright scarlet and finally a blushing pink.
