Like its namesake, the Princess Diana Clematis becomes the star of any setting as a charming rebloomer. Dainty and upright, this clematis carries itself like royalty in shapely tulips. With a soft pink-to-white base, every blossom creates its own distinct pink stripe. An abundance of clematis rest on neat little vines, clematis grows to blanket your garden in the summer before returning for an encore during the fall.
These beauties spread 2 to 2 ½ inches in an upright position, which makes them suitable for ground cover. Resembling a mass of upturned faces, Princess Diana clematis flourishes when planted in large containers. Let them cascade over the container?s side or twine up a trellis. Use them in any one of the glory spots: mailboxes, pillars, fences, arbors or lampposts. You may even prefer to place them in the rose garden.
Growing to eight feet tall, this clematis vine flourishes best in partly shaded soil and plenty of sun. Like most in its species, the Princess Diana clematis prefers the rich moist soil in eastern territory. Still, this vine becomes a true treasure everywhere throughout the country.
