The large red blooms begin in early summer and continue for months, while the orange-red fruit ripens in late autumn and is heavily borne.
Just 5 to 6 feet high and 4 to 5 feet wide, Punica Crimson Sky Pomegranate offers glossy green foliage right down to the ground. You can grow it in a container—and because it’s self-fertile, you don’t need a second shrub for cross pollination.
