Complete your rose garden with a crowning jewel. Royal Welcome boasts excellent disease resistance and a proud, upright habit, but its real appeal is the blooms. Up to 4 inches across and packed with up to 40 petals, these spicy-scented blooms offer a complex mixture of yellow, pink, and creamy tones that resemble an idyllic sunrise.
Hybrid Teas are known for their impeccable form, but this child of Elegant Lady and Welcome Home takes things to another level, with 18-inch stems, a noble bearing, and huge, double blooms. You couldn’t ask for a more impressive flower for your cut flower arrangements or specimen plantings. Jackson and Perkins is proud to call this spectacular variety our own.
Exceptionally disease resistant, Royal Welcome holds its beauty well, with dark, glossy leaves that stay unblemished. Like most hybrid teas, Royal Welcome requires full sun and good airflow. It thrives in even moist soil on the acidic side. Fertilize every 4 to 6 weeks through the growing season for the best bloom show, and deadhead spent flowers to encourage rebloom. In fall, let the last flowers develop rose hips to signal the plant to go into dormancy. In colder climates, provide winter protection. Take good care of this world-class cultivar, and it will reward you with years of abundant beauty.
