This lightly fragrant, exquisitely formed miniature rose sets color-drenched yellow blooms in waves all summer long on petite shrubs that are hardy through Zone 6 in the North and quite prepared to withstand the heat of summer.
These blooms, borne on stems 8 to 10 inches long, arise from classic pointed ovoid buds and spiral open with a high center and tightly packed whorls of fragrant yellow petals. Expect up to 35 petals on each bloom, which reach about 2 inches wide when fully extended.
Sun Sprinkles Miniature Rose is compact enough for a container but is showy enough to make quite an impact in the garden as well. The long-stemmed blooms are suitable for cutting, and the habit of this shrub is well-branched and healthy, with glossy dark green foliage that keeps Sun Sprinkles Miniature Rose looking good right through fall. Reaching about 2 feet high and wide, Sun Sprinkles Miniature Rose packs a lot of color and texture into a small frame.
