Thérèse Bugnet is a hybrid rugosa rose with a dense, rounded, shrubby habit of quilted, grey-blue green foliage. The bush is robust, vigorous, and very cold hardy—up to Zone 3. It has excellent disease resistance, and chemical sprays should be avoided because they will burn the leaves. Thérèse Bugnet is a tough rose, a great choice for the beginner or casual gardener.
You can expect a heavy spring flush, and a reliable repeat during the season, of 4-inch, ruffled lilac-pink double blooms with 35 to 40 petals and a moderate, spicy fragrance.
Use in mixed beds, hedges, and borders.
